Angel Tree

ADOPT AN ANGEL FOR
TULIP GROVE ELEMENTARY
Once again, HUMC members will have an opportunity to provide Christmas gifts for “young angels” who attend Tulip Grove Elementary. We anticipate having approximately 60 children representing about 20 families who need “adoption”. Thank you for your time and generosity that will definitely bring happiness and excitement to a child on Christmas morning.
How can I get an angel? You may choose an Angel from the Angel Tree, located inside the Family Life Center (glass doors), on Sunday November 26 or December 3. You may also stop by the church office during the week of November 27. Be sure to sign the Angel Tree Sign Out so that we know which angel you selected. If these options do not work for you, email Sharon Golden (sharong@humc.org) and she will help you to secure your Angel.
When and Where can I drop off the gifts that I purchase? Please place unwrapped gifts in gift bags or one large “Santa sack” (or trash bag) rather than wrapping individual gifts. Attach the Angel’s ID number to the package(s).
Your gifts may be dropped off at HUMC —parking lot door to Room 108, to the right of the sanctuary doors on Friday, December 8, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. You may also return your gifts to Room 110 on Sunday, December 10, 8:00 am – 11:30 am. If you need an alternate drop off time or have questions, please call Tammy Ramsey @ 615-773-7847. All gifts must be returned to HUMC no later than Sunday, December 10.
Special considerations: If you are buying clothes, confirm that the stated size is either a child size or adult size. We have asked for better clarification from parents, as well. In addition, if you are buying a doll, book, etc. for a child, be considerate of the child’s ethnicity (i.e. brown dolls for brown children). Check with Sharon on this.
As always, THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY! YOU truly make a difference for a child on Christmas morning.
