What is Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a ministry for hurting people who are on a journey toward wholeness; seeking recovery from and celebrating God’s healing of life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Trained leaders provide safe, confidential, Christ-centered groups where people can grow.
Who benefits from Celebrate Recovery?
Anyone who struggles with hurts, habits and hang-ups can benefit from CR. Do you struggle with a particular issue that seems to have such strength and power over you that it has prevented you from experiencing any real victory? Have you been secretly hoping for a safe place to share your struggles and begin healing? CR is for you!

Recovery Open Share Groups
Small Group Guidelines
- Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings. Limit your sharing to three to five minutes.
- There is no cross talk. Cross talk is when two individuals engage in conversation excluding all others. Each person is free to express his or her feelings without interruptions.
- We are here to support one another, not “fix” another.
- Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group. The only exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or others.
- Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered recovery group.
Hermitage United Methodist CR is committed to providing a safe environment for recovery. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements of our ministry. It is a part of our DNA as well as one of our five group guidelines. We are an adult (ages 18+) recovery ministry and provide FREE childcare for your little ones.
